River Ridge and Gonzales Residents Share Easy 5 Win

BATON ROUGE – The $130,000 Easy 5 jackpot for the December 17 drawing was won by two tickets; one sold in Metairie, the other in Gonzales. Both winners split the prize, winning $65,000 each.   

Malcolm Baldwin of River Ridge purchased his ticket from Clearview Discount One on Clearview Parkway in Metairie. He claimed his prize at Lottery headquarters on Monday, December 29, taking home $47,450 after state and federal tax withholdings.   

Christopher Bingham of Gonzales was the other winner, who purchased his ticket a Chip #2 in Gonzales and claimed his prize on December 18. 

“We want to congratulate these two gentlemen on their big wins,” said Rose Hudson, Lottery President. “We are excited to see our players go into the new year with a new reason to smile.”
