Erath Woman Claims $40,000 Powerball Prize

Sharon Harrell is going house hunting. The 50-year-old Erath resident claimed a $40,000 Powerball prize from the Feb. 25 drawing at the 飞艇168®幸运体彩预测-全国统一Louisiana在线官方查询结果网-最新体彩预测数据's Lafayette regional office.

"It feels great to win! It hasn't sunk in yet," she said, adding that she plans to use her winnings to purchase a house.

Harrell's ticket matched four of the five white-ball numbers drawn and the red Powerball number to win $10,000. Because she added the Power Play option to her ticket for an additional $1, her prize was multiplied by four when the Power Play number "4" was selected during the drawing, bringing her total winnings to $40,000. 

She purchased her winning ticket from Racetrac Petroleum, Inc. #487 on Northeast Evangeline Thruway in Lafayette.

The winning numbers for the Feb. 25 Powerball drawing were 17-32-42-49-56 and the Powerball number was 11.

Ticket purchasers must be at least 21 years of age.
